TEMCare Service Ordering & Provisioning
Ordering & Provisioning are important functions in the Total Telecom Service Lifecycle Management (TTSLM) supply chain. It allows for the automation and centralized management of the procurement processes for all Fixed Voice, Mobile Voice and Data and Data Communications devices and services. Organizations gain greater visibility and control over the entire process of managing service order, including procurement, design, and installation which is essential to avoid unnecessary costs and plan effectively for required telecom services.
TEMCare ordering and provisioning services streamlines the enterprise-wide requesting and ordering of services and equipment, enabling to create and manage orders for all standard telecom activities, including new orders, changes, moves, and disconnects (MACD).
A vital element in establishing a closed loop, “procure-to-pay” TEM process across the enterprise, ordering & provisioning enables better strategic and tactical management of essential provisioning components:
Request Management
Enables centrally managed enterprise-wide requests for telecom services, including cost estimation and engineering of the services requested. Service orders are created within the request process and electronically submitted to the selected vendor as an email attachment or via direct interface with the vendor’s backend systems (e-bonding).
Order Management
- Create and track telecom orders from initial request through approval and telecom provisioning
- Validate all orders against policies and standards and automatically enforce procurement rules and approval processes
- Coordinate equipment configuration, installation, and even address management
- Build and update an accurate telecom inventory as services and equipment are ordered, installed, and removed
- Improve contract management and SLA enforcement
- Automate most repetitive service order provisioning tasks
Workflow Management
Quickly and easily build processes such as invoice processing and order management workflows and approval hierarchies to ensure that your organization’s unique business needs are met. The workflow engine has been tailored to meet the needs of TEM users and to avoid the complexity of traditional third-party Business Process Management (BPM) engines.
Workflow management processes include:
- Service Requests
- Service estimations
- Oder approvals
- Order processing
- Installations of services
- Order acceptance
- On-going monitoring
- Service disconnects
Workflow management provides in a service supported by an intuitive graphical workflow engine that allows for the customization of processes the TEM system will follow through best-in-class processes:
- Uses business process logic to automate functions with specific trigger points and milestones (for example, when a new circuit is installed, you can automatically initiate a disconnect for the old one).
- Uses critical telecom logic specific to each carrier to automate service order management, trouble ticketing, and tracking.
- Allows to gain a consolidated view of all inventory elements and invoices for a particular service or network (such as frame relay) to optimize the network and ensure appropriate billing and cost allocation.
- Support for quick and easy transition from one vendor to another or from one service type to another (for example, from frame relay to VPN), enabling faster ROI.
- Customization of processes you want the TEM system to follow via an intuitive graphical workflow engine. Quickly and easily build processes such as invoice processing and order management workflows and approval hierarchies to ensure that your organization’s unique business needs are met.
