Convergence BillIntelligence™ addresses the need for central processing of invoices coming from many countries and operators, in as many languages and a variety of formats.

To allow management to have a central view of their telecom expenses services have to be mapped to a common denominator, a common language and classification is required, while maintaining full access to the original invoice data.

BillIntelligence™ captures billing data from EDI, XML, XLS, CSV, TXT and other electronic formats, processes the billing data, maps data down to the CDR level to a common format, provides in normalization, data transformation, data mapping and language translation and produces output to any database or any alternate file format.

Convergence BillIntelligence™ now allows large organizations to get control of the high volumes of the most complex monthly recurring invoices and process those invoices electronically, thus reducing time spend on cost allocation, enabling detailed control and integration of billing data for auditing, expense management and reporting.

BillIntelligence™ also provides in the Intelligent Bill® standard invoice output format, providing a SBO – Standard Bill Output to Rivermine, thus allowing invoice load to Rivermine through a single format.

BillIntelligence supports more than 250 electronic billing formats from over 100 communications carriers in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), the USA and Asia-Pacific. BillIntelligence™ allows to integrate and standardize billing data from telecommunication bills for electronic processing in financial systems such as Oracle Financials, SAP, Lawson, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage and others, in Telecom Expense Management solutions such as Rivermine and TEM analytic applications such as Convergence TEMExpert and third party TEM applications.

Billing streams are received directly from carriers or through electronic billing presentment and payment (EBPP) carrier platforms from OB10, Certipost, Isabel, Zoomit, Paynet, Deutsche Telecom, Postfinance and e-bill platforms worldwide.

Supported e-bills include invoices from AT&T, British Telecom, Bouygues, Belgacom, Cable & Wireless, Colt, Deutsche Telecom, Eircom, Equant, France Telecom, SFR, KPN, Mobistar, Orange, O2, Portugal Telecom, P&T Luxembourg, Sita, Sprint, Swisscom, Telecom Italia, Telefonica, Telekom Austria, T-Mobile, Tele Danmark, Telia, Teliasonera, Telenor, Vodafone, Verizon and other operators in over 50 countries.

New e-bills are easily added to the portfolio within days, through application of Convergence’s RBI – Rapid e-Bill Integration methodology as they become necessary.

BillIntelligence Automation

BillIntelligence Manager provides as a standard in one system batch, which allows to bring multiple tasks to be executed in one command.

BillIntelligence Automation however allows - based on preset conditions - to launch multiple batches and even drives automatic report generation.

This allows for complete automation of the processing cycle: from collection and processing of the electronic invoices, population of the analytic database with billing data and enrichment information from the TEM system till distribution of individual reports to your users.

A onetime configuration hence makes sure every manager for each billing or calendar period is automatically informed about call behaviour and expenses in his department and/or cost centre.

Each individual user will be informed of calls made in the previous period and associated costs.
File exports for cost allocation or split bill charge through may be distributed to finance and/or HR.
